ABOUT FARNHAM

Farnham is an attractive Georgian Market town in Surrey, steeped in history with its 12th century castle and adjoining parkland of 320 acres, which was formerly the residence of the Bishops of Winchester for some 800 years.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside much of which is owned by the National Trust, Farnham is an area ideal for walking and riding. Frensham Ponds, Hankley, Thursley and Little Frensham all worth a visit. There are also numerous golf clubs within the area.

It is a town of many contrasts, situated in a valley of the River Wey. The town centre is lively and welcoming and has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, art galleries and pretty market stalls, together with many listed buildings of historical interest.

There is a choice of renowned state and private schools, for all ages.

Ideally situated for the commuter, with its main line station that takes you into London Waterloo, normally in under an hour. Road links are also good, with the A3, A331, M3 & M25, all easily accessible, together with routes down to the South Coast.
