On Thursday 11th January I was delighted to present to the entire company at our Annual Awards Evening and Conference. It provides me with a rare platform to meet all our staff at once and to review the challenges, successes and results achieved over the past 12 month, whilst recognising the top achievers within the Company.
2017 has been a fantastic year for Bourne Estate Agents – we have grown our market share in all of our offices and finished 2017 with both Guildford and Farnham Offices ranked as number one agent in their respective towns by Rightmove. We have opened two new offices in Esher and Godalming, both of which have had a great start in a difficult market, plus we have seen our Woking office deliver amazing results in only its second full year of trading.
Our Alton Office has dominated the local lettings market, with the sales team establishing themselves as not only a leading agent in the area, but also as experts in selling the many new builds that Alton and the surrounding area has to offer. Petersfield lettings and sales have gone from strength to strength, as we have welcomed new staff to deliver great service to all our customers.
We have welcomed, through expansion, over 20 new staff to ensure that as a company we can continue to deliver ‘gold star service’ to all of our customers. These new staff include additional resources to our ever-growing and vitally important Lettings Support Team, headed by Hannah Malley and based in Alton, This department is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our entire letting portfolio and allows the front offices to focus on generating business.
Rob Skuse in Farnham deservedly won the top Sales Negotiator award for 2017 and John Bramwell from Guildford the Lettings Award. Top office awards went to Godalming Lettings and Woking Sales – a huge well done to Sam, Roanna, Andy, Ross, Anna and John. Our Customer Service Awards went to Claire in Lettings Accounts and Rob Skuse in Farnham, closely followed by David in Guildford, Gemma in Alton and Andy in Woking.
I was also delighted to recognise other individuals who have delivered over the last 12 months or so, We were delighted to promote Caitlin to Senior Lettings Consultant in Petersfield, Harry to Sales Manager in Godalming and Ross to Local Director in Guilford.
On a personal level I would also like to thank my senior management team, who as always have worked tirelessly to make the company one we can all be proud of. Thanks to Adrian in Farnham, Andy who covers Alton & Petersfield in sales and Matt who oversees Alton, Godalming, Petersfield and Farnham Lettings in his role as Area Lettings Director, as well as helping on many other projects in an ever changing market place.
A special mention to all of our support staff (Anna, Zoe, Alison, Anna, Holly, Ashley) who make each office run smoothly and huge thanks to Niki who simply allows me to do my job by dealing with everything else.
We are on an exciting journey as a Company, with a clear vision for sustained growth, through delivering great service to our customers which in turn will lead to recommendations. 2018 will no doubt present its challenges, however, as our competitors continue to shut offices and cut resources, we are determined to be a shining light and tackle every challenge by finding the solution that leads to us selling and lettings houses in our local areas.
I am confident that we will deliver the results we expect, by delivering the customer service levels that set us apart, I look forward to seeing which staff raise the bar this year and who will win the awards in 12 months time.
