Walk For The Wards 2016
The weather on Sunday 8th May turned out to be fantastic and Adam, Adrian and their families took part in the Walk For The Wards event to raise money for #PhyllisTuckwell.
After managing to do 10 miles on the hottest day of the year, today they are both feeling a tad sore!
The money raised will help fund the local Hospice Care which Phyllis Tuckwell provides for patients and families who are facing a terminal illness, such as cancer. They offer not only medical and nursing care, but also therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support, and they care for over 250 patients and families each and every day. However, as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of their costs, they have to raise over £15,000 a day to be able to do this – so they need our help!!
